Job Requirements: VHB Engineering, Surveying and Landscape Architecture, P.C. is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join its Albany, NY office. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic organization and become a member of a growing team while working on several high visibility transportation projects.

Responsibilities will include:

• Traffic analysis and design review/supervision
• Project management
• Client interaction
• Public presentation
• Staff supervision/development

The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple assignments including traffic impact studies, traffic operations analyses and transportation planning studies, participate in formal hearings and generate new business. Must also possess a clear understanding of all areas of traffic engineering standards and procedures including; basic intersection, roadway and traffic signal design; traffic impact assessment and environmental/development permitting.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in all areas of traffic engineering standards and procedures. Extensive local traffic impact study experience required. Knowledge of highway capacity methodologies, traffic analysis software standards, word processing and spreadsheet applications a must. Excellent oral presentation and communication skills are essential. BSCE and PE License required PTOE desired.
