Technical Services Developer

Position Summary & Major Responsibilities:

 

Telvent has a career opportunity for a motivated person to serve as a Technical Services Developer. This position would work with the Sales and Delivery teams to help develop formal scopes of work related to Telvent GIS and/or Smart Grid Solutions for our utility clients. Additionally, this position will be responsible for supporting the technical and commercial review and response for proposals, especially as they relate to implementation services and business-specific customizations. Knowledge of project implementation and development methodologies as it relates to GIS and/or Smart Grid implementations, as well as integration methodologies is essential.

 

Other duties include

  • Maintaining knowledge of project implementation and development methodologies as it relates to GIS and/or Smart Grid implementations, as well as integration methodologies is essential.
  • Working with Sales to determine response strategies to best position our solutions
  • Working with SMEs to define the solution to be proposed for a Sales opportunity
  • Coordinating with multiple business partners
  • Creating and reviewing scopes of work, project schedules, and services pricing to be submitted to customers
  • Frequent contact with the Delivery team for input on levels of effort and changing implementation methodologies
  • Regular reviews of Telvent & and partner technologies to maintain technical knowledge of potential solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Miscellaneous duties, as assigned

 

 

Education & Experience Required:

  • BS in IT, Electrical Engineering, GIS, related degree or demonstrable experience
  • Knowledge of utility industry
  • Knowledge of Smart Grid technologies and/or Smart Grid-enabling technologies (GIS, SCADA, DMS, AMI, OMS and others)
  • IT project implementation or project management experience
  • Strong work ethic and excellent written and oral communication skills
