Environmental Planning & Permitting Practice Leader

Kleinfelder is looking for an Environmental Planning Leader to support the development and growth of Kleinfelder's Environmental Planning and Permitting (EP&P) Practice in the Tulsa hub. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Kleinfelder's fastest growing services. As the successful candidate, you will lead EP&P efforts, including: marketing, project management, training, and strategic initiatives and planning (i.e. identifying key environmental firms for teaming and/or other formal relationships, creating and executing an EP&P Action Plan, recruiting, and cross-training employees). This position will support the overall marketing of the firm's services using EP&P as an entrée to new infrastructure programs and projects. In addition, the EP&P leader will team and coordinate with other Environmental Managers, Business Development and EP&P Leaders. As a practice leader, you will provide technical expertise (field and office) and senior review on company-wide EP&P projects and action items.

Directs technical programs and projects, both multiple and individual, with overall program/project responsibilities. Identifies and defines scope, techniques and prices for project proposals. Ensures consistently accurate and timely client and management communications. Resolves technical problems of diverse scope independently. Manages major proposal coordination, preparation and technical assessment. Oversees development of cost estimates. Makes technical recommendations and decisions within project scope.
# Requirements 10+ years of progressive experience in project permitting, wildlife ecology, and impact assessment;or 8 years related experience with MS or 6 years related experience with PhD.
# Environmental planning, permitting, wetland, threatened and endangered species, and NEPA and CEQA evaluation experience preferred
# Experience in permitting of projects with regulatory agencies required
# Understanding of business, environmental, and political communities preferred
# Proven record of successful client relationships, experience working with developers, government entities, native American tribes and other development-related organizations
# Excellent writtent/verbal communication skills and experience with Microsoft products required
# Certifications or Registrations as appropriate
Education Bachelors degree in biology or equivalent combination of experience and education required. MS desired.
