Parsons BrinckerhoffEnvironmental / Transportation PlannerParsons Brinckerhoff (PB) is seeking an entry level planner for a full-time transportation planning position in our Cincinnati Ohio office. The successful applicant will work on projects/tasks for environmental and transportation planning projects in a collaborative setting with multiple disciplines. Responsibilities will include environmental, transportation, institutional and land use analyses; contributing to planning and environmental documents in compliance with applicable governing statues; and conducting public participation and agency involvement activities. The candidate must be able to provide excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and writing and communications skills as part of a project team in an office specializing in transportation and environmental planning, urban design, and roadway and transit design. We are a group of talented planners and engineers that pursue creative collaboration and provide analytical and documentation support to transportation, and environmental planning efforts. PB is seeking to hire committed and talented individuals to be a part of its dynamic team working on the Ohio 3C Passenger Rail project and other rail planning projects in Southwest Ohio. Requirements: Requirements include a bachelor's degree in history, archeology, geography, natural resources, biology, land use, environmental planning, or a related field (a Master's degree is a plus); a minimumof 2 years relevant experience. DOT /SHPO experience; knowledge of NEPA, Section 106 Regulations and an understanding of Ohio land use planning laws and local agency practices a plus. Required education: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree substitutes for 1 year of experience
