We are seeking an on-call GIS Programmer for our Lancaster, New York office.
Responsibilities:
- ESRI Web, Desktop, and Mobile Application Development
- Assistance with GIS Project Management
- GIS Application Design and Scoping
- Training and mentoring staff and clients
- Creating, using, and administering relational databases
- General Web programming and development
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, GIS or computer science preferred
- At least 2 years of experience
- Experience with development languages in the programming of GIS software is required. (see below)
- Database Experience: Microsoft SQL server experience with Oracle a plus
- Windows Server experience (working with IIS) is preferred
- Experience with ArcObjects (VB.NET, and/or C#) is required
- Experience with ArcGIS Server 9.3 (or higher) customization a big plus (.NET or C#),. Experience with Web Mapping APIs for Microsoft Silverlight/WPF and JavaScript also preferred
- Map production and analysis (ArcGIS 9.3/higher) a plus
- Experience with ArcGIS extensions a plus (Spatial, Geostatistical, Network, or especially 3D)
- Experience with 3D software development (ESRI or non-ESRI) another plus
