Our Irvine, CA location is seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst. This position requires strong written, verbal, and problem solving skills and ability to interact successfully with staff from multiple technical disciplines. This position also requires ability to produce work products successfully under short time frames. The applicant must have a thorough knowledge of the ESRI ArcGIS software platform, GIS fundamentals, FGDC-compliant metadata, and geodatabases, with demonstrated proficiency in their use and application. Must perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and/or database development tasks for efficient quantitative analysis. Proficiency in scripting is desirable. Bachelors degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Planning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required. A Master's degree is desirable. Must have at least 3-5 years of experience conducting spatial analysis, data conversion, and the production of publication quality maps with ArcGIS software, preferably in support of environmental sciences. Experience with ArcIMS, ArcObjects, spatial and 3-D analyst extensions, SQL Server, remote sensing, and Microsoft office products highly desirable. Pre-employment drug screen required.
