Tetra Tech, Inc.GIS Analyst IVEmployee will be responsible for preparation of paper and electronic figures and field maps, data analysis, equipment maintenance, GPS data collection, downloading, correction and export of GPS data, and file management and archiving. Specific experience with photo flights and data collection associated with wildfires and controlled burns is preferred. Experience collecting, processing and interpreting aerial photos into GIS format data desired. Programming experience highly desired but not required. This position is expected to include some travel, and fieldwork, but should not exceed 25% of employee's time.
Position Reports to -Project Manager
Job Requirements :
MS or MA in Geography or related field and minimum 10 years experience working with GIS. An environmental background and wildland firefighting experience are a plus. Must be highly motivated and require minimal management oversight; be quality, performance, and customer focused; and work very well in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication, client interaction, ability to manage a heavy work-load, and organizational skills are required. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and ESRI ArcGIS applications required.
