Come join our community of GIS professionals developing innovative approaches in applying and developing GIS applications. We are looking for a GIS Analyst with cartographic, database management, analytical and modeling skills. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing GIS support and GIS project/task management to a wide range of planning and engineering disciplines among Kleinfelder's environmental, geotechnical and materials business lines. Applicants must have good communications skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and perform work on time and within budget resources. We are looking for a GIS professional who is able to work on multiple projects at once and who can provide mentoring and training for more junior staff. Responsibilities will include programming and applying a broad range of GIS database and software for GIS design, GIS mapping and analysis, database design and system development, as well as compiling and analyzing geographic data.
Responsibilities will include performing GIS data conversion and editing, ESRI ArcGIS Map Production, spatial database management, analysis, spatial and 3D modeling and reporting.
* 4 - 8 years of related experience; or 2 years related experience with MS or 1 year experience with PhD
* Pexperience utilizing GIS software applications such as ESRI ArcView, ArcEditor or ArcInfo and programming to generate cartographic and map design products is required
* Understanding of complementary ESRI products including ArcGIS Desktop or Workstation, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Engine, ArcGIS extensions, ArcSDE and/or ArcIMS. Working knowledge of NET, Java, COM and programming experience in one or more of the following VB, C/C++, Java, PL/SQL, ASP.NET, C#, or VB.NET, Oracle or other RDBMS, SQL and UNIX
* Proven experience with CAD data formats and conversion techniques required
* Proven experience with remote sensing and imagery such as LiDAR required
* Experience in client relations and business development required
* Prefer candidates with experience in a consulting environment, ideally with an A/E or environmental firm
* Experience in asset management / BIM preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
