Gustavus Adolphus CollegeVisiting Assistant Professor of Physical Geography and GISGustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a one-year, full-time position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Geography to begin September 1, 2012.
We seek a broadly-trained physical geographer with an earned doctorate, but will consider candidates who have achieved ABD status. We encourage candidates to describe their experience using a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.
Primary responsibilities will include three courses per semester plus a one-month experiential course in January. The successful candidate must be able to teach GIS, weather and climate, physical geography, and a section of World Regional Geography. There is also an opportunity to offer an additional course in the applicant’s area of expertise. We are particularly interested in candidates who could offer a course in our Environmental Studies program.
