Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Masters degree may substitute for 1 year of work experience.
Must fully understand how data applies to decision-making. Must have working knowledge of programming languages such as Visual Basic.NET, C#.NET, HTML, Cold Fusion, Avenue, and AML.
Job Description: The successful candidate:
Programs and applies a broad range of GIS, database, and spreadsheet software for GIS design, GIS mapping and analysis.
Contributes to database design or geodatabase and system development, and compilation and analysis of geographical data.
May evaluate commercial GIS applications, and design and develop GIS applications for internal use and client deliverables.
Independently performs most assignments with instruction as to the general results expected.
Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
May mentor lower level employees.
