SAIC, Inc.GIS SpecialistResponsible for geospatial analysis aiding the maintenance, update and quality control of a geographic names database. Candidate will compile geographic data from a variety of sources including imagery and cartographic products. Work with related GIS software and programs to update and maintain data. Candidate will interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups. Candidate must have ArcMap experience, be familiar with reading cartographic products, experience with imagery interpretation, and have experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel. Candidate must also have QC experience. Experience with foreign languages and geographic names preferred.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a GIS, Cartographic, scientific or equivalent discipline and 2+ years of related experience with ArcGIS.
Required Skills: Experience with ARC GIS and attention to detail.
