DewberryEmergency Management Planning SpecialistSuccessful candidates will serve as a specialist for Emergency Management (EM) efforts. Position will support federal, state and local government as well as private sector clients. Successful candidates will assist with preparing technical and cost proposals, serve as a subject matter expert on existing EM projects, and serve as a task lead for new projects.
Required Skills & Required Experience:
Graduation from a four-year college or equivalent.Two to five years experience in Emergency Management or related field.Experience related to emergency management/public safety or emergency response operations at the city, county, state, and or federal level is highly desirable.Practical experience in development of strategies and plans for response to terrorism, natural, and technological hazards at various levels of government.Familiarity with current regulatory requirements and guidance in emergency management and homeland security areas.Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in all facets of emergency management.Emergency Operations Planning is desirable.Strong oral and written communications, including skill with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. GIS skills also desirable.Some experience facilitating for a variety of stakeholders at the city, county, state, and or federal level to achieve defined objectives.Professional accreditation (LEM or CEM) desirable.
