Provides necessary leadership for the development and implementation of various planning projects.
May supervise, coordinate and direct and evaluate the work assignments and tasks of the staff assigned to the Division.
Oversees the work of a team engaged in providing specific services or projects.
Serves as a mentor from whom employees seek advice and who initiates advice when needed. Provides training as needed.
Develops and recommends improvements to procedures, processes, forms, and communication.
Supervises and oversees the organization and maintenance of related records system, including assembling and organizing data and its collection.
Makes effective public presentations (including appearing before the Board County Commissioners) in a professional proactive manner.
Prepares division-related agendas and resolutions to be considered by the County Commissioners. Prepares and coordinates related inter-departmental correspondence.
Monitors contract compliance.
Communicates clearly, effectively and tactfully, orally and in writing; provides and maintains public relations with constituents, including elected officials, clients/developers, and the general public in responding to planning and zoning needs and interests.
Prepares and maintains concise, accurate records, reports and written recommendations for changes.
Performs other related work (including weather or other extreme emergency duties) as required.
Area of Assignment: Transit Administers federal and state transit grants. Seeks, organizes and maintains information related to associated grant funding sources. Coordinates with the following: National Transit Database (NTD), Disadvantages Business Enterprises, American Public Transportation Association, Florida Public Transportation Association, Florida Department of Transportation, General Transit Administration, etc.
