Illinois Wesleyan UniversityEnvironmental Studies Tenure Line, Open RankIllinois Wesleyan University invites applications for an open rank, tenure-line position in Environmental Studies, to begin August 1, 2015. We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in either a physical science or environmental geography who are eager to assist in building our rapidly growing undergraduate environmental studies program (https://www.iwu.edu/environ/). A strong commitment to liberal arts education, civic engagement, and undergraduate research is essential.
The successful candidate will teach 6 courses annually, including Introduction to Earth Systems Science with a field-based lab, the Environmental Studies senior seminar on a rotating basis, and courses in his/her areas of expertise. The ability to teach GIS is highly desirable.
