Research Specialist

Natural resource/GIS technician. Part time, temporary position (through March 2015 dependent upon project funding) assisting with an ongoing resource assessment. Duties include basic GIS data analysis, file management as well as other project data management. GIS experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/Competencies: 4 year degree in Natural Resource Management or related field
Strong knowledge and experience of principles of remote sensing, GIS and geospatial analyses and modeling
Basic knowledge of ecology, natural resource management
Prior experience and strong working knowledge of ArcGIS 10.0 including ArcMap, ArcCatalog, Model Maker, 3D Analyst
Experience with LiDAR data management and a working knowledge of FUSION software
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Prior NRCA experience desirable
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. GIS experience required

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preference will be given to those applicants with the following training and experience:
