Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, College of Science & Engineering, Geographic Information Science Program, is seeking applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science position beginning as early as Spring 2015.
Qualifications

All candidates must meet the following required qualifications:
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Geospatial Science, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a closely related field, and should have a strong commitment to scholarly research and teaching excellence. A strong candidate should have an ability to teach and conduct research in advanced geospatial computing, spatial modeling, and have a strong background in programming with a special emphasis on geographic data mining and knowledge discovery. Experience with web-based GIS or mobile computing is a plus. The individual should also have a strong research background and show evidence of previous professional activities related to GISc and is willing to work in tandem with others on research projects in addition to teaching GISc related courses to both undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will contribute to the newly approved Ph.D. program in Geospatial Computing services.
