Development of planning reports for rail and transit projects, including evaluation of major infrastructure investments for local, regional, state and federal agencies.
Responsibilities:
� Prepare written summary documentation for public and agency presentation
� Interact with other professionals regarding potential project definitions and impacts
� Research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions and regulatory agency specifications
� Work proficiently with Geographic Information Systems software applications, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Google Earth, Primavera, ProjectWise.
Qualifications:
BS in Civil Engineering or PlanningRegistered Professional Engineer or AICP license (or able to be obtained within 6 months of hire)Minimum of 5 years professional experience in transportation planning and engineering for multimodal transportation projectsSkilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software programsExperience with FHWA, FTA, State, and local transportation planning and environmental processesStrong verbal communication skills and the ability to discuss projects with clients, regulatory agencies, and the public
