This program requires Geospatial Analysis (GA) instructors to develop and deliver basic, intermediate, and advanced geospatial analysis training classes to government agencies and Department of Defense (DoD). The successful candidate will work as part of a team of contract and government geospatial analysis and imagery instructors to combine the applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), ArcGIS, ArcMAP and ERDAS with other intelligence sources. The instructor will teach the application of GIS techniques and instruct on the theory, techniques, procedures, and sensors used to produce digital and hardcopy geospatial intelligence products. Instructor duties include development and revision of GIS courses, conduct on-podium instruction of developed courseware, management of students and classroom work and activities. The candidate will also help create new course curriculum in conjunction with government analysts, management, and members of the IC. The instructor will teach and maintain the following courses: Fundamentals of GIS, Intermediate GIS for Analysts, Geodatabase Design and Maintenance, Advanced GIS using Modeling, and Advanced GIS using Scripting. Assist in the instruction of Spatial Thinking and Human Geography. Required Skills and Education: Required education: Bachelor Degree or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree • Proven working knowledge of agencies within the IC and the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Demonstrate working knowledge of the principle applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), ArcGIS, Arc Map and ERDAS.
• Proven excellent writing and briefing skills with the ability to convey course materials clearly and concisely
• Proven experience with the MS Office suite of tools
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an on-podium trainer/instructor for class sizes up to 20 personnel
• Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) as well as knowledge in the development and implementation of course materials, and how to make those course materials ISD compliant.
• Experience with training in a military or Intelligence Community environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of GIS and GEOINT analysis to be able to answer questions from course attendees and participants.
