Job Description: The GIS/Mapping Specialist will assist with mapping activities related to water resources projects, including watershed studies, floodplain management, and GIS-related projects typcailly for Federal and municipal clients. The specialist will conduct map production tasks with potential to work on a wide range of projects that vary in complexity and clientele.
Incumbent responsibilities include, but are not limited to
• GIS analysis and map production for a wide variety of engineering, geospatial and environmental projects
• Database administration and design using both geospatial and non-spatial data
• Proactively evaluating optimal and efficient solutions to geospatial problems on projects
• Computer modeling and GIS work related to flooding per FEMA guidelines and standards
