Eastern Shore Regional GIS CooperativeGIS/FirstNet Project ManagerSalisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Manager, GIS/FirstNet.
Primary Job Duties: Responsible for management of geospatial and web aspects of the FirstNet project which consists of planning for a wireless broadband network dedicated to Maryland's first responders. Local government liasion for the DoIT Geographic Information Office, facilitates data sharing between the state and local/regional governments. Performs other mapping and geospatial coordination duties as assigned by DoIT.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Geography or related field and 3 to 5 years Project management and GIS experience required. Must be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and able to demonstrate the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
Preferred Qualifications: GISP certification, GIS Project Management experience and ArcGIS proficiency preferred.
This is a contingent II grant funded position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
