Primary Purpose

This position will advance the GIS web services deployed at the GIS TREC for the NASA RECOVER project. The GIS Web Services Analyst will conduct performance testing, complete automation processing, and develop a new functional web map deployment for RECOVER wildfire sites that are cross-platform and mobile device compliant. Additional GIS research and geospatial data preparation tasks are included as well.

Key Responsibilities

The GIS Web Services Analyst will primarily have a research/research support role. Specifically, the GIS Web Services Analyst will be tasked with revising the current workflow for RECOVER web map process automation and ensure the new version not only functions but that it responds quickly and performs fast.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field, knowledge of GIS, Geodatabases, ArcGIS 10.3, ArcGIS for Server, and Python/ArcPy

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with process automation in ArcGIS 10.3, Master’s Degree in related field, and GISP certification.​
