The City of Roseville is accepting applications for the position of IT Analyst I/II as part of our GIS Program. Our GIS Program is made up of fifteen employees throughout the City. This position will be part of a centralized team in the IT Department that leads the capability of the GIS Program, implements technology solutions, and administers GIS infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications:
No professional experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, GIS, or a related field. Two years of relevant work experience may be substituted for two years of the required education.
An ideal candidate will have:
• 3 to 5 years of experience with Esri server products, a good working knowledge of information technology practices is also beneficial
• Knowledge of and experience using Esri ArcGIS for Desktop software including advanced use of Esri ArcGIS for Server. Experience automating analytical and processing tasks using scripting languages/tools such as Python and Model Builder
• Understanding the techniques of spatial analysis, strong working knowledge of spatial problem solving, and knowledge of mapping and cartographic tasks
