We’re looking for someone who truly understands and has a passion for transportation and regional planning along with urban development. The transportation planner will provide technical and project support for transportation projects and programs. You will play a vital part in designing ideas for transportation system improvements or projects based on economic, population, land-use or traffic projections. The ideal candidate takes ownership in regional long-range plans including its policies, initiatives, and priorities. From concept development to project execution, you should be a dependable resource capable of high quality work.  


Requirements

The successful candidate will have at a minimum

- Bachelors degree required with emphasis in Transportation, Urban or Regional Planning or related field.  

- A minimum of three (3) years work experience with a public, or private planning agency or other organization responsible for the planning or implementation of transportation services and facilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications Include:

- Five (5) years experience in transit planning, federal and state transportation related laws, programs, policies, guidelines and municipal or regional  planning.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, databases and word processing software.
