Stantec is currently seeking an Environmental Planner in the Impact Assessment, Permitting, and Compliance Practice to be based out of our Thousand Oaks, CA office. The work is a balance of office and field work with office work focused on environmental permit application report preparation and leadership, additional technical report preparation and direction of operations staff on project assignments.

Your Duties:
  • Write complex CEQA/NEPA documents and oversee the NEPA/CEQA process.
  • Perform agency consultation and oversee preparation of environmental compliance reports.
  • Prepare permit applications for various federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Prepare various plans required for construction projects.
  • Demonstrate confidence in decision-making and provide expertise to clients and peers.
  • Work with a diverse set of client types including electric transmission, transportation, local San Diego municipalities,  state agencies, federal agencies and diverse industrial and commercial client types.

 

Your Capabilities and Credentials:
  • Bachelors degree in Planning, Environmental Studies, Biology, Ecology or Geography
  • 5-8 years of experience in environmental consulting, working with a diverse set of clients types
  • Solid working knowledge of CEQA/NEPA/ CWA/ESA/NHPA
  • Ability to execute projects of all sizes and build project teams collaboratively around multidisciplinary projects
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
