City of PhoenixSenior GIS TechnicianThis position develops and/or coordinates work on geographic information systems (GIS) applications. Duties vary depending on assignment and may include performing mapping duties, assigning and checking mapping work, writing GIS models, or coordinating development and implementation of GIS computer applications within the department. Some positions supervise staff who develop and maintain the GIS databases, coverages, and linkages to various databases.
Currently there is one vacancy in the Water Services Department. This eligible list may be used by any department for any current or future vacancies over the life of the eligible list

SALARY
$22.48 (minimum) - $33.63 (maximum) hourly / $46,758 - $69,950 annually. Appointment can be made above the minimum depending upon qualifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years of experience working with geographic information systems and two (2) years of information systems or technology-related education OR;
A bachelor's degree in geographic information systems, geography, planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, computer science, or a closely related field.
An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered.
Working irregular hours, second and/or third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings may be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – The job requirements listed above, plus:
Experience using GPS equipment.
Experience working with a Work order Management System.
Experience conducting End-user training for GIS web map applications.
